This year's Zhong-Guan-Cun Forum Annual Conference will be held in Beijing from March 27 to 31. Our reporter Liu Jiaxin has the latest from the press briefing by the State Council Information Office.
In a week from now, Beijing will transform into a nexus of cutting-edge ideas, uniting governments, scientists, and industry leaders under the theme: 'New Quality Productive Forces and Global Science and Technology Cooperation.
LIN XIN, Vice Minister of Science and Technology "This year, the focus will be on frontier fields such as AI large models, embodied intelligence, quantum technology, biomedicine, 6G, and brain-computer interfaces."
This state-level forum has driven global innovation dialogues since 2007. But this year's edition is bigger than ever: over 128 activities, 60 parallel forums, a major International Technology Trade Fair, and the Zhongguancun Frontier Competitions will be held.
JIN WEI, Beijing Vice Mayor "This year's competition has attracted more than 3,200 entries from 75 countries and regions around the world, with overseas entries accounting for 40% of all entries. Synthetic biology was added to the race; Artificial intelligence accounted for a quarter of the entries, and a number of high-level entrepreneurial projects emerged in brain-computer interface development, gene therapy, humanoid robots and other fields."
LIU JIAXIN, Beijing "Beyond the conference halls, the Forum spills into cultural exchanges, science outreach programs, and year-round global partnerships—proving innovation not just thrives in labs, but also through people connecting. Officials say the ZGC Forum this year isn't just about China—it's about writing the next chapter of progress, together. LJX, CGTN, Beijing."
