The meeting of literature and art sector of the fifth session of the 12th National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference was held on March 6. Political adviser, Yu Hui who works at the Forbidden City said, “The coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei has achieved initial success. Following the social and economic development, the public’s demand on culture will undoubtedly grow. ”

He suggests that the cultural development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should be also incorporated into the coordinated development, for example, establishing an interactive development mechanism of museums in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

“For the present, a coordinated exhibiting mechanism among Capital Museum, Tianjin Museum and Hebei Museum has been built, an interactive format has taken initial shape. But museums in Beijing and Tianjin are not able to serve the entire province of Hebei.  So major museums in Beijing such as the Palace Museum, National Museum, Military Museum and Lu Xun Museum should develop a coordinated mechanism. I suggest to build an information platform of cultural exhibitions for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and jointly organize online cultural exhibitions, and attract museum goers to visit distinctive museums in Hebei province. ”
