On toxic running tracks
Synthetic running tracks have attracted widespread attention in recent years after complaints they have caused vomiting, nosebleeds and skin irritations in students at primary and middle schools. The ministry is working with other government departments to draft new standards for school running tracks to protect children's health
On vocational education
Vocational education is just as important as other forms of education and it deserves respect, particularly considering its role in nurturing the talent needed for economic restructuring and the development of manufacturing. China not only needs to nurture the likes of Albert Einstein, but also the likes of Thomas Edison and Lu Ban, the ancient Chinese inventor and craftsman.
